Question:

In a bit of a pickle...Am I PG?

Ok, so here's the deal.

AF came on July 14; usually I ovulate between CDs 17 and 19. BD'd on Aug. 1 (4 times b/c the BF and I hadn't been able to see each other much during the big week, lol.) I don't know if I missed the ovulation time or not.

Anyway, the last week has been semi uneventful...Unable to sleep, but not exhaustion. Weird food cravings (I put chocolate sauce on pizza and ate it...Was sooo good too!) and today I had horrible heart burn. Last night I was gassy for no reason. Normally I drink soda and water, and for the last three days, all I've wanted to drink is milk.

Now, the pickle or problem. Tomorrow night is one of my best friends' birthday party. We're going clubbing and all that, and it will include alcohol. YES I am strong enough to not drink, but I don't want to pass up a margarita or anything like that if I'm not pregnant. Unfortunately, I have about a week before I can even think about testing or anything.

So does anyone think that I could be pregnant, or is it too soon to tell? Any advice?

Thanks,

K

  1. There is always a possibility of pregnancy anytime you have unprotected s*x.  With that said, you should pass up the drinks to be cautious.  Sucks, I know, but better safe than sorry.  On the bright side, I drank about a week after conception (too early to tell with a test) and my body completely rejected it and I spent the entire night throwing up and miserable (which is completely out of character for me).  The baby ended up being fine.  Needless to say I stopped drinking after that.

  2. If you think you are pregnant dont drink, honestly i was drinking and smoking and then i found out ! as long as you stop when you find out you should be alright ! on the other hand it would be more responsible of you not to do anything until you found out because its not fair to the baby if you are pregnant.

  3. I am going through the same thing, but to tell you the truth, if you have one margarita you aren't going to hurt the baby. Think of the millions of women who drink and then find out there is a in the oven. Just don't go overboard. (Try to remember the whole night, haha) Don't stress yourself just because you "think" you might be pregnant.

    Good luck with everything!!

  4. Be on the safe side and don't drink.

  5. Others are going to get mad but have fun while you can, it's not going to affect the baby this early if you are pregnant. I didn't know I was pregnant for two months with my first child and me and the hubby were partying like rock stars every weekend. My boy's are 8 and 10 now and healthy as can be. Enjoy what might be your last weekend of living it up for nine months. If it is too soon to test than it is too soon to affect the baby.

  6. Highly unlikely that you would have so many symptoms so soon..I been pregnant three times & didn;t know a thing pass my 6weeks in which they were confirmed. One or two drinks want hurt you haven't even had implantation yet so I wouldn't consider "pregnant" yet..Test after a missed menstrual cycle..Best of Luck!

  7. If my math is right tomorrow would be CD27.  It's possible if you ovulated on CD19 that your BDing day was perfectly timed and it would be 10 days post coneption.  So I'd test in the morning, if it's not positive I'd either not drink at all or limit it to 1 or 2...good luck!

  8. You can't ever really know your prego unless you test, but you never know until then everyone is different....But I don't think you should drink but if you absolutely have to have one with the girls then have one you will be fine just drink more water than alcohol....I am not telling you to drink But i do think you will be okay I knew girls that drank up too there 2 months b/c they didn't know and there babies are healthy....ne ways good luck and baby dust!

  9.   well, according to the pamphlets that come in a pregnancy test, you should test either the day of ur missed period or 19 days after the last time you had unprotected s*x. I also recommend clearblue digital pregnancy test.

  10. I hate to say it, but it would be too soon to get any pregnancy symptoms.  It does sound like you have them though.  I would definitely not drink anything just in case.  Good luck to you!
