My friend's sister was speeding down a winding road and turned to quickly. She had my friend and her sister (so driver + 2 passengers) in the car and the car hit the wall and damaged it. She totaled the car too. Here in Massachusetts, what will she be charged with in court, and what c`ould the possible penalities be?

This accident occured the day before her 18th birthday.

Thanks

  2. i dont thing they charge anyone for being a stubip driver do they she had a wreak what did the cop tell her when they showed up something like failure to maintain.. maybe.. could make her pay for the wall..... if she was just going to fast  and lost it that is nothing but a slap on the waist and tell her to slow down... if she has to go to court then you shoul d know what they charged her with you are leaving out some of the parts

  3. HAPPY, YOUR INS. WILL COVER EVERYTHING. ...BUT...IF THE DRIVER WAS ..DUI,..OR...DWI....YOUR ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. FIRST, YOUR INS. CO. JUST SAID BYE,  BYE.

SHE WILL GET A FEW TRAFFIC TICKETS, WHICH WILL BE HEFFTY, AND IF THIS IS NOT HER FIRST OFFENSE, SHE WILL WALK, BUT IF THIS HER,2/3/4/5 OFFENSE, TELL HER TO SAY GOODBYE TO HER LIC. FOR A LONG TIME. LETS HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!

  4. Careless driving. Big point hit on her record and she'll be lucky to get insurance for less than the gross national product of Uruguay.

Small consequences compared to killing several innocent people.

  5. Besides maybe a couple of friends becoming former friends, the driver (and her parents) can be sued which can cause great financial hardship and she may have a severe restriction placed on her license...Insurance will be very expensive for her until she is 25 - assuming she is not involved in any more collisions.
