In a crime scene, a hair follicle can hold DNA. So would an eyelash hold DNA as well?

  1. i am not an expert but what i think is that a strand of hair is just long woven fiber of protein just like silk, the root of the hair has cells and therefore DNA in it, and this is also true for eyelash, as they too are hairs


  2. Hair isn't made up of DNA, but all hair does grow from a follicle cell and being a cell with a nucleus, it does have DNA.  So while the eyelash itself won't have DNA, if the follicle is still attached, it will.
