  1. Just the bologna. I like mine to curl.

    Now I am curious what a fried bologna/grilled cheese sandwich would taste like. Good, probably.

  3. Generally, you just fry the bologna, but you can add butter to the pan and maybe a slice of cheese to the sandwich itself and just have the meat hot with melted cheese and toasted bread.

  4. lol funny question I fry just the bologna with a cut to make it fry the same all over. I guess you could fry the whole sandwich but you would need to fry the bologna by itself first then add the bread ans fry it. Maybe batter and deep fry it hahahahah

  7. Usually just the bologna....but I bet it would be AMAZING if you fried the bologna, then did it like a grilled cheese......I do my ham like this all the time.

    Fry the bologna all by itself first. I heat a nonstick pan, and add a little butter first for flavor but here's a tip I hope will help:

    Make 4 little cuts into the edge of the bologna (top, bottom, side, side). This will stop the bologna from curling when you fry it so that it will brown all around. If you don't do this the bologna will only fry in the middle and will curl up like a cup.

    From that  point you can use it in a lot of ways. I butter some good bread, add my favorite cheese and then make fried bologna & grilled cheese sandwiches in a griddle pan.

    **I've also used thicker bologna, cubed it, fried it and added it to those boxed scalloped potato or au gratin potato casseroles. Makes a kid friendly, economic dinner. Yum!!

  11. Just the bologna.  My brother and I thought we invented that sandwich.  We called it Mexican Hat because of how the bologna curls up when frying it!  I like it just on bread with no condiments!
