  1. There's no limit, and no rule that it should hit the ground at all.  International games see either once bounce or no bounces (called a full toss).  Local county games can see the ball bounce three or four times before reaching the batsman.  Who, by this point, is usually laughing so loud that he/she can actually miss the ball which then hits the stumps.

KooKee, you have a TU from me.  The book I recommended is very worth a read though.

  2. no limits

  3. OF COURSE THERE'S A LIMIT. Every user above me is wrong and needs a serious look at the rules.

    6. Ball bouncing more than twice or rolling along the ground

The umpire at the bowler's end shall call and signal No ball if a ball which he considers to have been delivered, without having previously touched the bat or person of the striker,

either (i) bounces more than twice

or (ii) rolls along the ground

before it reaches the popping crease.

To put it simply, if the ball bounces more than 2 times then it is called a no-ball, if the ball is rolled along the ground then its called a no-ball.

    lmao no limits :D

  4. Oh my word...

If it rolls or bounces more than twice (mind you, I've had twice bouncing balls called no-balls before and that's village!) then it's a no-ball!

If it flies over the batsman's head, then it's also a no-ball. That's a beamer.

  5. There is no limit, the ball could even roll to the batsman without it being a 'no-ball'!

  6. I agree with KooKee, either these guys never played cricket or never watched a cricket game.. the law states the ball can only bounce once b4 it gets to the batter other wise its a no NO BALL and you cant get out in no ball.. i am sure you guys know that much rite.. and also if it doesnt bounce then  it has to be under waist height or else again its a NO BALL

  7. Two is the maximum number of times a ball can bounce to be considered a fair delivery. And rolling & underarm bowling was outlawed after the Chappell incident in 1981.

Since I got a T/D I will insert a link to explain the no ball rule

    http://www.lords.org/laws-and-spirit/law...

Read clause 6 of law 24 (No ball), it says (and I copy & paste)

  8. 68 and a 3/4. cricket isnt even a sport anyway so who cares???

  9. no limit at all, as the first answerer said, it can roll over the pitch to the batsman, however to do it it will need an underarm, which is an illegal delivery now !

    hope it helps!

    god bless!
