In a job application they ask you , how many hours perweek.. and i don't get it .

so how many hours am i suppost to work ? for them to hire me ?

or that's just Optinal ? or they are looking for a exact time u are able to work?

  1. They might want to know how many hours you can work so that they know how available you are. You should ask the company for clarification. They usually explain what they are after. Good luck.


  2. I usually tell my client's to check both if hours are no problem for them. In the unofficial recession that we have- many places dont want to hire full-time because then they are obligated to pay health insurance and other benefits. However if they do have a full-time positon available- you definently want them to know your open to working full-time.

    Advice: ask them what positiion they are hiring for.

  3. Thats where you can tell them how many hours a week your willing to work or how many hours a week you will be able to work, just put "40" in that box or write Monday to Friday.

All applications have that.  I generally just write or estimate full time or part time.  Doesn't seem to really impact job process if they like the rest of the qualifications.  Be sure and spell things correctly on the application --that is ONE thing that lands app's in the trash faster than anything else.
