My fear is that Johnson holds out, that would kill me if I keep him and let Boldin go. Boldin has had a lot of injury problems the last couple years though, I just cant decide.

  1. Is there a 'cost' to your keeper?  Say a draft spot?

Still, all things considered I have to say Chad Johnson.

If for no other reason, someone will overpay to take him off your hands.  Boldin, though solid won't get that same "star" respect, though CJ is very overrated in a fantasy context.

Boldin goes into the season with uncertainty at QB.  Warner's agent is trying to get an extension, but the Cardinals clearly want Leinart to take the helm.

In truth, Boldin's numbers will be much better in the short term with Warner.

Chad Johnson isn't stupid.  He made his case to get out of Cincy, and it failed.  He will not hold out.

He did have minor ankle surgery, but should be fine.

I can't stand having him on my team.  Weeks of 30-45 yards and no TDs, only to blow up for 3 TDs when I don't need it.

Still, keep Chad for the "name brand" and eject him when his value is high.

  2. Tough question! Johnson is definitely a better receiver but who knows if either will play!

  3. Keep Chad.  He's just an overall better fantasy Wide Receiver than Boldin.

  4. this is a tough one b/c Johnson is threatening he wont play.

but still he is too good of a talent to pass on.

I would take the risk and keep Johnson

  5. Boldin... Kurt Warner will be throwing the ball in AZ by game 3, and Ocho Cinco is too much of a head case... stay away from him, especially in a keeper league.

$100 says he's not in cincy next year.

  6. Johnson has confirmed that he will play for the Bengals this year as well as stating that he's going to be the scariest WR on the field.  Other than that promise (who knows), he's better than Boldin.  Go with Johnson

  7. Chad Johnson is going to step on the field and try and win every week wherever he plays

He will get the ball alot and he will put it in the endzone

since 2003 he has caught the 2nd most balls in the league

    Ocho Cinco all the way

  8. Man do you have a tough decision. Boldin is upset over his contract and may hold out or ask for a trade. CJ is an idiot and you can't count on him from week to week with is on/off field antics.

If CJ plays i would give him the slight edge but he is really inconsisten. He will get 10 catches for 140 yards and 3 td's one week and the next he will get 2 catches for 20 yards. Thats just how he is.

If you don't have to make a decision any time soon i would see whats going on in Arz with boldin and if he is in camp on time and not complaining about a new deal i would keep Boldin

    Tough Choice
