  1. Volquez is the real deal. This is his first full season. His K ratio is incredible.Becketts era and whip are high every year.Nolasco is decent but will never be a Volquez.I wouldnt trade Volquez and I would never trade a pitcher with such an upside for an outfielder.Outfield is always a deep position. There are hundreads of great outfielders.A pitcher with an era under 3 and a whip under1.25 is awesome and a keeper.Every pitcher has a slump time but Volquez slumps and still keeps his era under 3 and whip under 125.

  2. Volquez is more prone to dropping off, stats-wise.

    He's young, and less-proven.

Josh Beckett has been clutch for both the Marlins and the Red Sox, and considering the way the AL East race has been going, the RSox will need Beckett to be in top form.

So if you're trading either one, I'd let go of Volquez.

  3. Um NO.

Volquez and Beckett are both way to young. They still have lots of stuff in them. Volquez will win the Cy Young at least 1 time before his career is over and should be an allstar  almost everyyear unless he gets injured.

  4. Trade Volquez- he's a good pitcher but has had some luck this year and won't put up nearly as good numbers next year.

  5. Jason Bay in Boston is going to start producing to his full potential and Nolasco has been mostly steady for the season.  Becket had a couple rough starts after coming off the DL but other than that he's also been mostly reliable.  Volquez on the other hand is known for having his rough patches and cant really be relied on for a fantasy team, especially when you could sell high on him.  Trade Volquez for Bay and Nolasco.
