EITHER will do !  Although I am sure the Scots and the Welsh would prefer you to use United Kingdom.

Use the name of the country in the local language - the most important thing is to tell the postal workers in the country you're posting the letter where it's supposed to go to! I've sent letters to "Grande-Bretagne", "Grossbritannien", "Groot Britannie", "Storbritannia", and "Velikibritannia". Once it reaches the UK, no-one cares what you called the country.
