I'm the same age as McCain and I "just can't be bothered" most of the time. Being president is no easy job; I am willing to admit I'm an old guy; why doesn't he admit it too?

  1. He has experience...

Palin, his VP who is 44 years old, has executive experience (how much does Obama have in his life...oh right, NONE).

And the last fact about "I just can't be bothered" that's why McCain is running and you, sir, are not.  He's up to the challenge, and he wants to take it on.

  2. Your is good when you are looking for a tennis player or bikini model. But when running the free world, some experience goes a long way.

As to your personal situation; losers are losers, young or old. If you are lazy and cannot be bothered when you are old, you probably were not a type A when you were young.

  3. It is an enigma, I feel sorry for McCain though, if he loses this election, he'll have to wait another 4 years to try again, he'll be 76. If he wins the 2012 election, what are the chances of him living long enough to run for a 2nd term? How many people live past 80 and still have a firm handle on their mental and physical faculties?

  4. The alternative is an isolationist and protectionistic candidate who would rather sacrifice a country like Israel in order to have peace than address agreesion by world leaders. Obama's policies, like the Reagan legacy, will haunt America for years after he leaves office. We are still dealing with the failings of Ronald Reagan (e.g. selling weapons to Iraq covertly supporting Iran, and supporting the Mujahadeem in Afghanistan) as a world leader why do we need to add to it with Obama's policies?

  5. With age comes wisdom. He has experience over Obama and shares many of my views. Can't say that I'd be up for the job at ANY age, but I really don't think age should be a factor in the race. Young or old-who's best for the job?

  6. The American dream- He is following this American dream.

  7. Is your mind a little senile too?  Do you not remember Ronald Reagan?  He was the same age and did a wonderful job.  Its not about age any more than its about race.

Interesting biased comment by CNN yesterday stating McCain will be the oldest man ever elected president.  WRONG.  Reagan was 73 when elected in 1984.

  8. I agree with you. I have often wondered why anyone would WANT to be president of the U.S. It's got to be the one of the most demanding and stressful jobs in the world!  Some people must enjoy the prestige and power that comes with being president, I suppose. But, anyone over 60 years of age - if they are honest and despite good health - will admit that they just can't go non-stop like they did when they were younger.

Bottom line is that I think that he is WAY too old for the job. Especially now that I know he's chosen a "gun-totin' pretty little thing" as his running mate. God forbid that McCain gets elected, but if he does, the poor old f**t will probably keel over from a heart attack during his first term, and then the country will be run by 44-year old "hockey mom" (as she described herself in her acceptance speech), who is the govenor of a state that ranks number 48 in the country concerning violent crime. Talk about lack of experience!!

  9. With age comes experience of life as well as wisdom!!!

He doesn't need to admit he is old in years!

He is different to you because he IS bothered!

  10. There wont be much experience if the Vice president becomes no.1 should old age catch him up.
