In a paper when naming a poem is it underlined, italised, or in quotes?

  2. It should be in quotation marks.

  3. The most proper way of writing it in a paper, when there is a question and it asks about the title of the poem, it should be written with the quotations marks, thus:

    "The Arrow and the Song" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

    But when writing the title of the poem, the title is centered or in the left side. But I use the centered style.
