  1. the background dancers/singers, (kind of like extras in a movie!) who dont have a lead role.

  2. The ensemble is the characters that aren't "lead roles" and they may not have specific roles or names. It is usually the back up dancers or singers. For ex: In beauty and the beast, the village people and extra teacups, forks, etc. are the ensemble. Did that help?

  3. It's pretty much the same as the chorus of something. The characters aren't usually the main characters (but in some plays they can be very important) and they don't have any names. The characters names could be: Bird 1, Villager 5, Caroler 2, anything really. An example for an ensemble would be the show Spring Awakening. This show has ensemble members who could fill in for a performer when he/she is absent or ill.

  4. the rest of the people that are that are the actors

    like background dancers or singer

  5. Sometimes that term is used to refer to the whole cast.  Sometimes it refers just to those cast members who do not have lead roles, and who may play multiple roles.

  6. The Ensemble are the people who have no specific part in the show. They are there to add to the show (i.e. dancing, more vocals). And Classmate, the entire cast of a show is the Company, not the ensemble ; )

  7. The choras
