You can treat this as a serious question . . . or not. But it's a real question, in any case.

  1. if its absolute beauty then that would when, anything less and cynicism would win.  oh, as absolute as humanly possible...probably cynicism

  2. I guess the subjective answers herein, including mine, ultimately come down to the personality of the answerer...their worldview and who cut them off in traffic at rush-hour this afternoon or not...or maybe the free dougnut or paper they got from the clerk at their local Coffee Shop..

    1) That being said, my worldview seems to be dictated by my idealist nature and hope in everyones future... cynic included...

    2) Cynics I'm learning are more then just 'Pessimist' though, they help us idealist keep our head out of the clouds 'all' the time and push us, challenge us to keep it more real and practical.. they through the hard-knocks of life have learned what doesn't work at least for them..

    3) Sometimes this doesn't-work-info you have to take with a grain of salt... sometimes its useful and helps me tailor and hone what can and does work...

    4) All that to say I'm bent towards 'Beauty' winning out....

    5) Ideally 'Beauty' absolute or otherwise would be more then a superficial or surface-issue but would both apply to the qualities of an entity(living or inanimate) inside and out....and without the accountability of the cynic...this may or may not ever be the case... so I try not to view the two in this question as 'Good' and 'Evil'.. but more Yen and Yang  (Receptive and Assertive) both are necessary in some if not all contexts... but if you want me to get off the fence... I choose:

    6) Beauty!!

  3. Beauty because even cynics love it.

  4. Absolutes do not exist. So your competition is meaningless.

  5. Beauty can be seen, smelled, heard and felt by anyone of any intelligence, but absolute cynicism is only really heard by the ones that actually understand it.

For just sheer range of exposure, beauty wins.

  6. Like another who answered, I don't believe in absolutes. As far as who would win a contest ( ?) between absolute beauty-absolute cynicism, what does it matter? In human terms, as human concepts, neither lasts forever. And of course they are both relative, each existing only in the perceptions of humans who conceive them. Hm mm- I wonder what Plato would say about the matter?
