  1. well it depends you should have explaned what type of fighter you are and what you want to accopmlish....

Muay Thai is a deadly martial art if done right.. using elbows and knees and really mess people up bjj which i just saw the youtube video was like c**p...you need to understnad if ur fighting for real no one NO ONE will do ground moves everyone willmostly strike...

  2. Pick the one you have more flexibility with. If you have an outside commitment that takes you away for most of the week you may not be able to train BJJ that week, but if you picked MuyThai, you may be able to make class.

  3. Good question.

It depends, in part, on what you want to do with your skills. If it's MMA, you know you need both striking skills (such as muay thai) and grappling/ground skills (such as bjj).

Looking at both sites, although Storm only lists courses for muay thai, it appears that their instructors have substantial experience in other forms of combat, too. Do any of the instructors teach any of those other disciplines? If so, I'd suggest Storm.

Having said that, my son faced a similar dilemma. He's attended a karate school for a number of years, but wants to broaden his skills. And so he's attended classes at a couple of BJJ schools (including one part of another Gracie network). The karate school has classes Wednesday and Friday evenings; the BJJ school has classes Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings; there's even a conflict in class schedule.

So: He/we negotiated a reduced rate at the BJJ school since he can only attend classes there twice a week. And we've worked out an arrangement where he assists and helps out at the karate school, again at a reduced price. At the karate school, he's done everything from assist with kids' classes to repainting the dojo to distributing fliers.

Speak to the top person at each school. Explain your dilemma. See what you can work out. It's likely that you'll be able to come up with some sort of arrangement that will work well for all involved.

    Hope that helps.
