  1. None, you have to attack without waiting for the opponent to make a move first, and RUN fast as you can~!

  2. Run Foo Run

or Mexican Judo(e.g. 'Judo no I gotta knife holmes.')

  3. Mexican Judo...

Judo know if I gotta gun...

Judo know if I gotta knife...

    Judo know me homie...

    etc...

  4. It's much more about the person than the style.  Physical conditioning plays a huge role.

Everyone has a good plan until they get punched in the face.

  5. There isn't one that is the most effective, any martial art will give you a very good chance at defending yourself against a dangerous opponent on the street.

  6. none, surviving is the best way on the street, try krav maga, which actually teaches u to try to avoid the fight before actually fighting, aiming 4 pressure points like neck, eyes, armpits and groin, finishing with a head stomp and then running away.

P.s krav maga is taught in the army

  7. muay thai, bujinkan, krav maga, jeet kune do, any of those can do massive damage or help you escape chose your route.

  8. boxing!because u just need that one good punch in the head, nose,or jaw!thats it!

  9. What are you talking about? BJJ is horrible for a street fight.  Boxing/Muay Thai/Kick-Boxing works.

  10. krav maga-efficient, easy and simple

boxin-you only need that one punch

kickboxing-if your punching isnt good enough

muay thai-opponent doesnt run fast when his leg is broken

truly 1on1 bjj will do it, judo will do it, wrestiling will do it. (but in a street fight, always prepare for 1onX)

its all up to the martial artist! if you cant do **** then its all the same wether you train ballet or teh uber-kick ***-chucknorris-bloodsport

  11. depends on the people like how they fight if they're tall or not etc...

  12. no bjj is not good for street fights.

    glock-fu is.

  13. Tire tool kwon do.

  14. The most effective,..sigh, anything can be affective especially against your average knucklehead looking for a fight.   American Kenpo Karate is a very useful street smart style in my opinion.  It is a defensive style that has many techniques from other Martial Arts.  As a student of American Kenpo I learn Kickboxing, grappling, presure point advantages, Krav Maga, Tung Soo Do, Jeet Kune Do, that's just off the top of my head and the weapons are awesome too!

  15. here are some possibilities

    Kajukenbo

    Wing Chun

    Kempo Karate

    Krav Maga

    Pencek Silat

Snake style kung fu (applications/self defense aspect)

  16. personally karate is the strongest form of self defence- it has been proven in many competitions around the world.... i wouldnt hesitate to go 1 on 1 unless provoked first..... being punched or kicked by a  well trained karateka is lethal...... :)

  17. I don't know all the names and styles and stuff like that. But wrestling, or getting your opponent to the ground and winning on the ground is usually where they all end.

  18. Honestly, I don't find it very effective at all, seeing that the point of learning martial arts isn't to fight at all, its for the discipline.  So someone who has no training but a lot of anger and doesn't play by the rules and discipline that martial arts gives, will ultimately have an advantage over the opponent.

  19. Hi.

For a one on one fight I would tentatively say Jujitsu (Brazilian or otherwise).  Any more than one opponent though and it loses some of its effectiveness...

Wing Chun would also be great I think.

Even though conceptually one martial art may seem to work better than another it really depends on the individual.  What works for some may not work for others.  Jujitsu might work the best for you and your body type where as the same might be true for me with a different style.

As specific as your question is I think there are simply too many factors to consider to be able to label just one martial art as most effective for any type of combat or self defense.

That's my two cents anyway :)

  20. I think there are many things to consider, like weapons, the way the other person is coming at you, the perceived lethality of the situation and of course the skill and condition of the opponent.

I teach Krav Maga, during my military career, I came across many lethal situations, and yet here I am typing away.

I study both Combat SAMBO and Wu style Tai Chi.  I think that we have to separate out combat arts from martial arts, combat arts are about survival.  In Krav Maga, we start dealing with weapons very early, in Combat SAMBO we start dealing with weapons from day 1 and keep on dealing with them, white through black belt.  Krav Maga and Combat SAMBO are about survival, not points or victories, but surviving.  Weapons are defined as gun, knife, bat, bottle, etc.

What is most effective is what you will do when confronted with a lethal situation, will you be trained or panic, naturally your heart rate will rise and you will feel pressure, so do what you need to for survival.  Some arts teach this, I learned Krav Maga as part of my Army training, so the concept of lethality was not new to me, Combat SAMBO is also very good.

There are many good arts and good teachers, but if your ultimate goal is to survive a street fight ask your BJJ teacher about weapons disarmament, you have to get this component to really survive the dangers of the street/battlefield.

  21. street fighting is good for a street fight  anything goes.
