  1. yes...

  2. we are IN a recession

the government won't admit it.  But a recession is a dramatic change in the economy and thats where we are.

    so go shopping

    and how is it?

    if its bad then yes.

    if not then no.

  3. IN A RECESSION, ONLY FOOD IS IMPORTANT, NOT LUXURIES.

  4. Yes

because if the economy gets bad, jobs and wages will go down and money will be tight. As a result, people will cut back on excessive spending.

  5. nah, most people will just maxed out their credit cards and file for bankruptcy afterward, so don't worry. but make sure you get as many credit cards as possible before doing so.

  6. A recession is not a dramatic change in the economy.  The statement is totally false.  A recession is 2 consecutive quarters (6 months) of falling REAL GDP.  A severe recession is a depression.  But, ,a recession, by definition, can be very moderate.

  7. some companies will do well, and others will falter.  This week Jo-Ann stores, which sell fabric, had a great qtr.  So did Tiffany, Dell, Children's Place, Ann Taylor.  Companies like the Gap, Pier 1 are faltering.  It's all about management.

  8. The only real problem in a recession is do you have a job.  Little else matters.
