nah, most people will just maxed out their credit cards and file for bankruptcy afterward, so don't worry. but make sure you get as many credit cards as possible before doing so.

A recession is not a dramatic change in the economy.  The statement is totally false.  A recession is 2 consecutive quarters (6 months) of falling REAL GDP.  A severe recession is a depression.  But, ,a recession, by definition, can be very moderate.

some companies will do well, and others will falter.  This week Jo-Ann stores, which sell fabric, had a great qtr.  So did Tiffany, Dell, Children's Place, Ann Taylor.  Companies like the Gap, Pier 1 are faltering.  It's all about management.

recession is lack of demand. This is perhaps due to lack of purchasing power. Shoppers wait for the customers. With less investment in retailing business and less goods to display, as a business shopping may get bad/

Yes. however the goal is to get out of the recession. You have to spend money in turn prices will gradually go down. otherwise people lose jobs and thats never good for an economy.
