In a restaurant when served dijon mustard in a ramekin, should you take it with your knife, from the ramekin?

as and when you need it, or take a significant amount and put it on the side of your plate to begin with?

  1. No!!!!Always scoop it out sparingly with a spoon and then put it on the plate, thenuse your knife!Its only proper etiquett!!


  2. Take only what is needed with a knife or spoon.  Do not use a utensil that you eat with if it is a shared dish.  Use a spare utensil.

    Taking more than what is needed is a bit wasteful and selfish as you might not leave enough for someone else.

  3. Do whatever you want its your food you bought it.

    in fact depending on the price of the meal i would take the ramekin.
