  1. No, except for my hotrods, I have always had economical cars.  I bought a car in 1982 (the size of a Camry) that got 41 miles to the gallon. It had a standard transmission.

As your skills increase, your pay will increase. Things like eating out, gas, or paying someone else to work on your car will become lass of an issue. Here is another reason to continue increasing your education and skills.

Go to a vending machine. You will pay $1.25 for a pint of water. That is $10 per gallon!!!!!!!!!

Now tell me what are you really paying high prices for?

  2. Nope. Can't afford to move. House prices in cali are too expensive. Just have to drive in conservative mode.

  3. Yep, my husband and I just bought a house and we had been talking for years about living in Auburn (the town I grew up in) so that our kids would go to the same school as I did.  But we both work in the city, so with Auburn being 25 mins away and about 20 miles we desided to buy a house in the city instead. My family is not to happy about it, but we have a plan to live here for 10 years then move to the country and be happy, we are hoping in ten years the gas prices are lower.

  4. Nope- the area I work in is too expensive for me to live.

  5. I don't,  but then I can usually take the company vehicle home.

Look for folks to move closer to the jobs,   carpool,  and use more mass transit as the fuel prices continue to rise.
