In a tyre industry, a 3 roll calender machines pinion gear-shaft is having problem.?

Question

Gear-shaft arrangement gets worn out each after duration of 2 months. it takes 8 hours to replace. Gear-shaft bears about 8 tons weight. Change in materials has done. But not usable. Is there any solution or what should be change in mechanism??
