In a war between Nato and Russia, who would be more vulnerable to Russian attack, Europe or the USA?

Are Europe and the USA interests equal, when dealing with the Russians.

Missiles-U. S. for long range, Europe medium/short range.

Europe controls a common border with Russia; thus being more open to attack.

The US has an ocean between them and Russia, thus there are no refueling points or bases to rest troops.

Europe is much closer they would be attacked first, and the US wouldn't be attacked, we would go to them, just as in any war, we take the fight to them, they have more playing room, i mean would you rather play foot ball in your front yard or on a field some where far from your front yard. And we support any one who wants the to do the fighting for us.

This is my answer to some other previously posted question. I feel that my answer somewhat bears some relevance to your question too.

Q: "Who will support the US if it goes to war with Russia?".

A:

The US would be virtually fighting Russia alone. The allies will only provide token support, probably sending a couple of hundred troops here and there. That's what had been happening in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The European Union would be smart enough not to take it against Russia. That's a huge risk to them. After all, they are well within range of Russian nuclear ballistic missiles. If anything, nuclear missiles will be falling on them first before anything would hit the US. In other words, the European Union will have more to loose than the US (with the US a continent away) in any confrontation with Russia.

Russians dont want war or any sort of agression, but they can take 'em ....both! Surprised how Bush brought you deep into the woods, and happy americans like ships following him, democracy? power? freedom?

...and dont count on France and Asia
