  1. 1st   LT  you get the best running back in the league, other years you could be 3rd or 4th  because there was other running backs like shaun alexander,  larry johnson and stephen jackson . LT is the top running back now the other three is injury pron.

  2. There really isnt an "ideal" draft slot. Obviously picking early gives you the option of taking an elite RB and that sets things up nicely but the real secret to drafting well has far more to do with getting best value at each pick with the best teams always being better 2nd half of the draft guys. Do your research and know which guys in the later rounds can help you the most and you will be a contender. Figure out which guys who moved or were injured last year can return to previous form or see which offenses have shifted to a new style and see who in that group could break out. And pay attention to which rookies will have the best opportunities (I can think of 5 rookie running backs that will be available after the 5th or 6th round that could be impact guys). Also adding depth QBs works well, once a guy gets hurt his owner usually will deal or fall hopelessly out of contention in a hurry (I took 3 QBs in my first draft and already moved Eli Manning & Cotchery for Bulger...other guy feared his injury history and Roddy White). Again there are 2 QBs that will drop who easily should return to previous form, do your research and both are pretty obvious (along with a return to form from at least 1 stud receiver who will be drafted far too low for his talent). Everyone gets elite talent in the first 3 rounds, the guys that draft best after that will always be the top 3 guys regardless of their draft position.

  3. I would say 10-12 because you get the best WRs and two solid RBs. Plus you can get a solid QB such as Gerrard or McNabb in the later rounds. Overall the team comes out to be very solid.

  4. You have to ask yourself which player you really want to draft first for your team... if that player is the same others want first (ie. Tomlinson) then the 1st overall pick is what you want, but if you really want someone like P. Manning or Joseph Addai then you will do better having the 3rd or maybe even 6th or 7th pick. The key is drafting the latest in the first round while still getting your man so you get a sooner pick in the 2nd round... all this is assuming your league uses a "snake" drafting format. Happy drafting. BTW avoid Stephen Jackson this year...trust me.

  5. traditionally, the best is always the middle in a snake draft, where you are never more than 12-13 picks away from your next selection. this gives you the best chance of getting one player from every tier.

however, in my experience, the best places to draft are just before the last players in a round (in a 12 player draft, 2nd and 11th or 3rd and 10th.) It's relatively easy to predict what the players behind you will take, and you can steal value by picking what they will take and then what you need afterwards.

looking at this year's players (mostly i mock draft in 10 team leagues) i think the best place for a 12 teamer is around 8th. this will give you the best  chance to pick from the cream of the crop in each position rather than digging through the scraps.

however, no matter where you draft, you can always have a good draft by paying attention, drafting smart, and once in a while ignoring ADP to steal players 1-2 rounds ahead of where they are "supposed" to be drafted.

  6. 1 to get LT or 12 because you get to pick twice in a row. In fantasy baseball I picked 12/12 and I'm in first place now.

  7. 1st, even with the wraparound 12th pick, you will not get points equal to Tomlinson. No matter what the format, first overall is a no-brainer, so is second or third. Once you get the 4th-11th, it is better to be 12th.

  8. 1st beacause u get a rod and then u get to go twice later on

  9. 1 so u can choose to get either LT or peyton manning
