It is bad in all religions. It's probably not even mentioned in some, because they know that it's what people do and don't feel the need to discuss it. I'll admit that I've done it before, and still do every once in a while. Does that make me a bad person? No. Does that mean that I'm going to suffer for all eternity when I die? Of course not.
