In america, what exams do you do to qualify for university?

like, how do you get in? is it just one exam at the end of your time at school?

  1. Some schools require the SAT exam; others require the ACT exam and others don't require either.  Grades and recommendations are also a factor.  For graduate school the usual exam in the GRE, but medical school, dental school, veternary medicine, and law school have their own exams.  The American System is quite different from the British System.  An American can wait until much later in life and even after a different career to decide to go to college.
