  2. If you are 14 you can have alcoholic drinks in a restaurant as long as you are eating.  You have to be with an adult though and your parents must approve.

  3. In bars and off-licensed premises the MDA(minimum drinking age) and MPA (minimum purchasing age )are 18. The MPA for

    beer and cider is 16 when purchased for consumption with meals

    (except when in a bar). Children over five may consume alcoholic

    beverages at home with their parent's consent.
