  1. Wow.  I was dead-set against voting for McCain or any social conservative.  But I've been an advocate for secession (I'm a New Englander) for awhile now.  Thanks for the info.

  2. We should kick Alaska out of the US.  Burn it to the ground

  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't our founding fathers secessionists???

  4. More so than I would want someone as President who thinks a respectable person is one for whom bombing the US Capitol was not going far enough.

  5. It's better than a Socialist with no Military spine!

  6. A blog from the UK... Come on!

  7. This is yet another example that proves that there really is no good choice for the White House this year.

  8. Only is she allows California to secede from the union!

    Blue Collar for McCain/Palin

  9. Unquestionably NO.

Someone with such extremist views that they would even associate with groups that want to break up the United States of America shouldn't be anywhere close to the White House or Congress for that matter.

    It's treasonous and anti-American.

  10. Re the above answer that it might have been a "very long time ago," she recorded a video message for the Alaskan Independence party LAST YEAR.  She was a member of the AIP until she became a Republican to run for office.

  11. No, that's why I am not voting for Obama.

  12. 8 scandles in 24 hours!

    * The news that Palin once backed the Bridge to Nowhere went national.

    * It emerged that Palin has links to the bizarro Alaska Independence Party, which harbors the goal of seceding from the union that McCain and Palin seek to lead.

    * The news broke that as governor, Palin relied on an earmark system she now opposes. Taken along with the Bridge to Nowhere stuff, this threatens to undercut her reformist image, something that was key to her selection as McCain's Veep candidate.

    * The news broke that Palin's 17-year-old daughter became pregnant out of wedlock at a time when the conservative base had finally started rallying behind McCain's candidacy.

    * Barely moments after McCain advisers put out word that McCain had known of Bristol Palin's pregnancy, the Anchorage Daily News revealed that Palin's own spokesperson hadn't known about it only two days ago.

    * A senior McCain adviser at the Republican convention was forced into the rather embarrassing position of arguing that McCain had known about the pregnancy "last week" -- without saying what day last week he knew about it.

    * It came out that Republican lawyers are up in Alaska vetting Palin -- now, more than 72 hours after it was announced that she'd been picked.

    * Palin lawyered up in relation to the trooper-gate probe in Alaska -- a move that ensures far more serious attention to the story from the major news orgs.

  13. Absolutely NOT.  And BTW...The truth of the matter is that Sarah Palin is associated (til this very day) with the Alaska Independent Party, a group that wants Alaska to secede from the USA.  ABC News (a reputable USA news organization has already verified this).  Stop being in denial....

  14. The way Big Gov't is growing, we may need another revolution to tear down the Big System. Small gov't is good gov't. Only governs when needed. Soon, we may give away all our rights to Big Gov't. Sound a little like Orwell's 1984?

  15. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't our founding fathers secessionists???

-> And we all know how well that turned out...

  16. In an emergency, could you come up with something better?

Wow....I heard that Obama wants to annex Mexico, too.

  17. no, that woman is a nut job

  18. So what do you think she'd try to do...have the United States of American seceed from the United States of America?  We'd just all pack up and go...where?

I noticed in your article, there was no year named as to when she was a member of the independents.  Could it have been a VERY LONG TIME AGO.  Unlike the fact that Obama was a 20-year member of his racist church up until he got caught in March, wasn't it?  He did, in fact, lie about that association, then got caught in the lie, so he just blahed and blahed over it and the media, of course, dropped it like a hot potato.

Rustonbo - Of all those so-called news-worthy bits of gossip, there isn't one that can stand alone enough for the dems to get a firm grip and run with it.  You have to throw them all in your made up bag of tricks and "hope" that Americans are dumb enough to believe the trash the dems throw out as "news."  Keep it up, please, for with every morsel you regurgitate to the public, Palin gets that much more publicity and people get to know of her remarkable accomplishments that more quickly. Accomplishments that have benefited Americans, but which the liberal media and the dems want to tromp on.  Do you really think this is benefiting your candidate?  Oh well, you've been warned enough that you're causing your party to implode...it's your loss.
