  1. It all depends on what your teacher or professor prefers.  


  2. Personally I think you should elaborate on fewer related texts than just list a bunch of related texts. People want to know your opinion/interpretation and you use the texts to support them.

In my opinion, which should not be taken religiously, if you do multiple texts on an essay it is best to keep them closely situated with paragraph or section topic. and have "at least" 4 supporting topics. I would most likely cite 3 sources per paragraph and keep my works cited compilation in a 5 pg. min. essay to a minimum of 10 all together

  5. argh I hate essay's I have to do one on Romeo and Juliet but to answer your question it's good to do both because if you do fewer related texts then it's a unique essay just make sure you have all the information you need to back it up.,
