In animal crossing wild world, how do you catch sharks?

my friend has a hammerhead, but i cant seem t find one, is there something you have to do in order to get one?

(besides the obvious fishing)

I just caught two hammerhead sharks and they're worth 8000 bells each I think.. anyway sharks can only be caught in the summer and on beaches. Which means now is the perfect season! They usually come out at night and you can always tell its a shark with their fin sticking out. They're quick fish so be careful!!
