In Animal Farm why did Napoleon teach the sheep to say "Four legs good, two legs better."?

  1. Because he and the other pigs started walking on two legs in order to prove their superiority over the other animals and to make is seem OK they had the sheep blurt out "four legs good, two legs better" in order to have the animals subconsciously accept what napoleon and the other pigs were doing. It was all just apart of Napoleons plan to gain power over the farm. Hope this helps.  


  2. Duh if the sheep were going around chanting 'Two legs good, four legs bad' it would make Napoleon and the other pigs look out to be bad. If they wanted to walk on two legs, they had to teach the pigs a different chant and change the commandments. They also considered themselves better than the other animals.
