A minority community, (religious, ethnic or racial) feels the need to protect its 'values' from being overwhelmed by those of the majority community and thus ends up acting more communal and exclusive.

  1. Very good question to answer...

Let us take one current example...

In the State of Maharashtra....Raj s speech...There you can find Majority dictating the terms

In Sri lanka, Tamil tigers....minority dictating the terms.

Actually it is the political parties, who use media as a tool to propagate, divide public to get more votes.

India pak got divided...on religious issue,

Then we got divided on linguistic issues,...Tamilnadu,Maharashtra

Then we got divided ..on upper cast lower cast

We are no more called Indian...where is the unity?

If you visit places in Dubai, where Indian and Pakistan share same room, work together, and make fantastic projects..

they live in peace...because there is no political parties or media expoliting them..

  2. In Parliament a good cause may overwhelmed by the majority

voters. But it's not happening always. In INDIA we have some

    sort of better situation.
