I am a Demon Deacon, so I dislike both of them.

i'll say unc since they have had more talented players over all in the past 40 years. they also were a great team before duke even was in the spotlight. i'll say the coaching is even with dean smith and coach k since coach k will eventually break the all time wins record. i am a duke fan, but unc has been better longer.

Good question, since both schools are among the very best in college basketball.  And the rivalry between them is not only one of the best in college basketball, if not the best, but also among the best in all of college sports.

To answer your question, I would have to go with the University of North Carolina for a few reasons:

- UNC leads the all-time series 128-97.

- UNC has more national championships.  They have 4 (1957, 1982, 1993, 2005) compared to Duke's 3 (1991, 1992, 2001).

- UNC has more Final Four appearances.  They have 17 compared to Duke's 14.
