Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to happen more quickly than in regular volleyball. Thanks!

  1. its usually every 5 pts, but they just do it. its kinda strange

  2. They switch sides every 7 total points, not 7 for each team.  (As in 4-3 or 5-2)  Outdoors, there are many factors such as wind, rain, sun even the lights that are different.  Indoors they switch sides for every game (or set) in order to keep things even.  But outdoors, they do not want to give a team one entire set lead if they have the best conditions.

  3. If they play outside it is to keep things as even as possible in terms of the environment - sun in your eyes, the wind, etc. that can not controlled otherwise.  So if they switch back and forth both teams get even amounts of time under the same conditions.
