Question:

In between 2 of my teeth it looks like my gum is filling in the space between my two teeth? please asnwer?

i looked in the mirror one day and i found that my gum was filling in between two of my teeth....its true that i havnt been brushing that well but i just wannted to know if this is normal for not brushing that well...and how do i get this to go back to normal?....do i just keep brushing better or what?

  1. If you don't take too good care of your teeth and they haven't been cleaned in awhile, your gums may just be inflamed and possibly swollen.  You probably need to get your teeth cleaned, and if that's all it is, your gums will shrink back to normal.

    On the other hand, there may be something else going on like a tooth infection, in which case more than just a cleaning may be needed.

    Back to the cleaning, once the plaque has been on your teeth for awhile it gets calcified, and can't be removed with a toothbrush; so you will need to see your dentist anyway.

    In the meanwhile, yes, you should brush/floss the area and everywhere else as best as possible.  If it bleeds, it is inflamed, but you need to keep brushing/flossing despite (or the inflammation will get worse).
