Question:

In bodybuiling what is the point of supersets for biceps and triceps?

Im a 16 year old bodybuilder wondering what the point of that is... i normally do biceps first and then when im done with biceps i do triceps, but when i watch pro bodybuilders workout they do supersets and i dont quite understand what they are and what the point is??? any help???

  1. because they become fatigued quickly...and most unnatural bodybuilders use it because well...they can

    otherwise your gunna end up fatiguing early in your workout since your getting no rest in between sets...most people confuse that with muscle growth...which i really dont get, cuz your tired...how does that mean muscle growth? also people say that it will make them bigger...ive never done that in my life and my arms grow like a weed might just b because my triceps tho but idc...my brother says its a waste of time, of course he doesnt know nothing he just benches 650 pounds and curls 135 pound dumbells you know thats normal for your average 260 pound 6'1 guy :)

    btw supersets is when you do one exercise then do another one RIGHT after it

    like barbell curls when your done go to lying tricep extension then do it over again

  2. supersets provide more muscle volumization than strength, thus why bodybuilders use them instead of athletes
