I average 190. i am 12 and still don't really "look" at anything i kinda roll the ball down the lane. i have been trying to look at something like an arrow and it is helping. I have a red vibe and am just looking to see if with that 1 i should throw a big hook or little. i usually depends on the house and lane pattern i know that but when there is like and open pattern alot of oil in the middle and not much outside which should i go for outside or inside.? My mind likes goin outside but the i seem to get alot of 10 pins and i get some days i can't miss a 10 pin and some days i cant make 1 for my life.. what is ur suggestion??

  1. im a bowler too. i am also twelve and i think you should go on thte outside when there is alot of oil in the middle. start about 6 inches from the gutter and then roll it towards the pocket. almost like a diagonal line. it takes practice. but i have it down. hope this helps

  2. For an outside shot with a Cherry colored Hammer Vibe, I always stand at the center dot and then release it onto the 1st arrow (5th board) after my approach and watch it go straight down about 1/2 way down the lane before breaking hard into the pocket.  This is on house conditions and medium oil.

When it's dry to medium on the lanes, I'll start five boards to the left of the center dot, then release the ball onto the 2nd arrow (10th board) and the ball will go out to the five board then will start towards the pocket.

Usually I can also crank the ball with medium revolutions and a slower speed and play the inside, but that's another way to play the lane if the center is about medium to oily.

When trying to pick up the 10 pin, I stand on the far left, break my wrist down and aim towards the 15th board (3rd arrow) on the left side and deliver the ball straight towards the 10 pin.  With the heavy concentration of oil in the center of the lane, it skids towards that single pin and does not even think about hooking.

    Good luck!
