  1. lol. r u getting hit with 10oz gloves or wtf..... maybe you got a glass jaw. when i get hit hard i just feel dizzy for about a sec, then i just blink a whole bunch of times and im back to normal.

  2. The key words here were "Really Hard In the Face" so yeah I'd say a "really hard" punch and a flash of light or even what you call yellow dots is normal man.  As long as you're not seeing them from just catching a "jab" I'd say that what you're seeing can be considered normal.

The term "punch drunk" is given to old fighters to describe the damage to the brain that they've suffered through out their careers.  We're not talking wrestling man we're talking punch after punch non-stop through 12 rounds over a good 15 - 20 year career span.  Hard punches with 8 - 10 0z. boxing gloves have more of a dizzying effect on a fighter than mere 4 oz. grappling gloves do man.  A fist fight is a fist fight, but boxing is on a whole other level dude.

Flashes of light ( yellow dots ) will be the least of your worries as you grow older and remain in boxing man.  This is why the Gracie's came up with MMA cage fights back in the 90's because they knew the average wuss wanted to fight too, but not face the "Brain Damage" aspect of it like boxer's do.

What you're seeing is very normal from "Really Hard Shots."

  3. Everytime, no.

  4. what william said about just catching a jab, is right.  I havn't seen a flash of yellow and ive been hit in the head pretty hard.  What I see from a really hard punch, is black bulge and a flash of grey that appears when im hit, and goes away right after.

Maybe you see yellow dots, and i just see what i see.  Or maybe your not being hit hard enough to see the black bulge.  I cant tell for certain  , hope this helps
