Cause I watch the fight of Manny Pacquiao the decision is Split. But someone says that the Split decision sets the boxer in Controvery. And speaking of Manny, are you impressed by the way he perform? Should you like to have rematch? Or let Manny, Step up into the Lightweight Division to take the Challenge of David Diaz?

  1. A split decision means 2 judges think Manny won and one thought he lost,usually that means a rematch which could be the case here with Marquez.I reckon before he steps up he should have a decisive win over Marquez and that ll be a sell out again.

  2. Yea a split decision especially a close one such as the fight last night leads to a lot of controversy BUT a win is a win and I believe Pacquiao edged out Marquez with that knock-down in the third round and the consistent pressure he put on Marquez the whole fight.

    I'm very much impressed with Pacquiao. He really is a boxer of his own technique. It may look crazy the way he throws a barrage but they are very much calculated.  He's improved a lot and I only expect him to get better in the next two to three years.  I see a Manny Pacquiao/Juan Manuel Marquez rubber match and talks about it throughout the media have already surfaced.  I would love to see a third fight between these two competitors as they are always giving it their all BUT I don't mind Manny stepping up to face new challenges into the Lighweight Division though I believe Diaz might be a little too much for him if he were to fight him right away.

  3. Unanimous means when all three judges are in favor of a fighter.

    Split means when two judges are in favor of one and the third judge is for the other fighter.

    Draw is when all points are in favor of both figher by each judge.

    When you heard someone say there was controversy its because manny had won the fight by one point even tho compu-box was in favor of marquez. Alot of people had it for manny

    ``` Basically the mexican was robbed by the white-man.
  4. When a unanimous decision takes place, the obvious has been confirmed by all 3 judges. Theoretically, when one wins a UD, the winner usually dominated the match. A split is a little controversial since not all judges saw the fight the same way and a SD will occur in a very CLOSE fight. In the case of the PAC-JMM fight, it was too close to call and one fighter showed no dominance over the other. In the end, the KD Manny scored gave him the edge to win the SD.
           As far as Manny is concerned, it's better to see him move up to the lightweight division. It looked as if Manny wasnt all too comfortable fighting at 130. Also, it would be interesting to see the matches that may materialize when Manny moves up in weight. He's in a good position to pursue many large paydays, so you cant knock his hustle with whatever decision he makes. Plus, if manny can pull in key victories in the lightweight div. then he would would of accomplished something that not too many fighters have, which is to move up in so many weight classes and be successful. After all, he did start at 106.
