In boxing or sparring do you talk to your opponent???

  1. Alot of the time, yea. In sparring I only do it in a constructive manner but in the ring I talk hella ****. I usually start with some remarks about there sister. When your pissed off your not thinking straight and lose your game plan.


  2. absolutely. many people do it for the same reason as you, they like to get a mental edge and want to get into their opponents head. Ali did it alot and took to a level that no one else has and that's why people loved him... and hated him

  3. I only did it when I was sparring never in a fight .

  4. I never did, just got in their and got my business done. If they start yappin Ill start back, but mainly I just focus on the fight and try to catch them when their jaw is open.

    I find when a guy is talking allot he is usually frustrated or trying to get you off your game plan.

  5. Yes, all the time.  However most of the time I do teach so it is instruction but still I did before as well.

    I also compliment a good move even when done against me as well.

  6. I did it mostly in sparring. On very few occasions I may say something during an actual fight, but that's only if the person was a "runner".
