  1. The rounds shortened after the Ray Mancini v. Duk Koo Kim fight in the 80's.  Different organizations made the change in different years.

The 10 count, I don't know.  Anyone else?

  2. the WBC shortened their title fights in '83

the WBA and IBF shortened their title fights in '88.

the WBO (which was set up in (i think) late '88, started off with 12 round fights.

since then, only colorado (which doesn't have a boxing commision) has held 15 round fights (non title).

  3. I think it came down to 12 cause by 15 a lot of boxers would have been pretty beat. There was one Mohammed Ali fight once where the other fight was blind in one eye, and his other had swollen so he couldn't see at all, at one point he was being hit so much he almost died, another incident i think a boxer died, i don't remember he suffered from the punches he received as he was too weak, this was towards the end of the fight. I'm not sure about the ten second warning though bu i hope i helped
