  1. man i hate buffers.

    The conjugate base is the leftover of the acid when it donates a hydrogen.  Lets say the acid is HCl.  The CB (conj. base) would then be Cl-.  It is the acid's counterpart, they are usually easy to tell cuz they are the acid minus a Hydrogen.


  2. HNO2 is the acid, H2O is the base, NO2- is the conj. base, and H3O+ is the conj. acid.  They are just bases that differ one proton from the acid.

  3. The conjugate base of HCl is Cl-

    The conjugate base of H2SO4 is HSO4-
