In camaras?

i had an old cyber-shot(high zoom), but i broke, and i wanted to buy a new one, sony is my brand,adn i am buying a new cyber-shot model, but does anyone have a suggestion on a camera that can beat the new cybe-shot and is around 400-500 dollars

If ur seriously into shooting still pics, go semi-pro and get a DSLR still camera. These would give better photos than  digicams like cyber shot at almost the same cost or just slightly higher. DSLRs don't shoot videos.
