  1. why don't u canucks just go on strike again that way u won't be polluting anything

  2. It would be helpful if you could expand your question a little bit. You don't say whether you mean atmospheric, water, surface or all of them. You don't say whether you mean substances which are harmful only if concentrated but are otherwise beneficial.  For example some people quite fervently believe ddt is a pollutant yet in Africa it saves millions of lives from malaria and causes no measurable environmental damage at the level currently used.Another example is particulate matter released into the atmoshpere. It is regarded as a pollutant because it is a literal eyesore and irritant but acts to reduce global warming which is popularly regarded as being a crisis. You don't say if you mean to exclude material which is clearly causes pollution but while produced in Canada releases its pollution outside Canada. Since there is no simple definition of pollution there is no simple answer to your question.  Any person or web site that tries to give a simple answer to your question as written will have such an extreme agenda that their response is meaningless. Your question is a good one if expanded a little bit.

  3. Thanks to Stephon Dion's great work as environment minister about 20% more than when we signed Kyoto.

  4. Well just cars---the average person emits 1 ton of carbon per year.

  5. About 2% of the total worldwide.
