  1. Energy from glucose and oxygen molecules (or more specifically, the bonds that hold these molecules together) is used to create ATP molecules.  As we all know, ATP molecules store lots of energy.  The energy from glucose comes from the breaking of C-H bonds and C-C bonds.  Hope that helps!
