I am prior service army reserve. Ive been out a couple years. I plan on signing back up under old mos but would like to enter new field and go AD next year. I heard (online) for 68x they give PT test the first week and kick you out if you aren't to standard. Is this true? B/c if it is I prob wont be able to reclass til later next year when Im more up to standard.

  1. The only possible solution is to start working out and getting yourself up to standard....

  2. Your best bet is to contact your nearest recruiter and ask them about this. They have all the latest requirements and regulations. I tried to go NG after being out of service for 12 years. I passed the physical and even scored a higher GT score than when I initially went in. I would have gone to AIT but not basic as I passed an impromptu PT test at the armory and would have retained my rank (E-5). However my commander-in-chief (a.k.a. my wife) didn't want me going back to Iraq. d**n that woman can read my mind.
