Question:

In chess can a newly man queen be captured or does the player have a chance to move queen away first?

pawn made it to the other side and became queen was taken in the next move. not sure if queen is able to get back to other side before it is used

  1. No it can't do that.


  2. When a pawn becomes another peice(queen) it is fair game to be captures. Therefor it is best to move another piece and get the oppenent in check first so that you can get essentially a free move.

  3. no once you move your pawn to the other side of the board and make it what you choose your turn is over. so yes the peice can be taken right after.

  4. the new queen can be use on your next turn not when it gets back to the other side and can be captured on the next move

  6. Whenever you move a peice it counts as ONE move. Moving the pawn up to the promotion square counts as your one turn therefore your queen or knight is potentially up for grabs. You can move her the next turn. Nothing illegal was performed in this game. I hope I helped!

  7. wish i could understand the question.  if a queen is in danger of being captured, it is a check, meaning the queen must be moved.  if the queen is checkmated the game is over...
