  1. No, only the pawns can.

  2. no

  3. nope, sorry but only the pawn can do that!

  4. No.

However, when a PAWN reaches the other side it can be promoted to a queen, bishop, knight, or rook.  Not only that, you can do that for each pawn that reaches the other side, even if your original queen has never been captured!  That means that you could actually have a total of 9 QUEENS on the board at once if you promoted each pawn to a queen!!!!

Many people think you can only promote a pawn to a piece that has been captured but it can be promoted even if no pieces have been captured.

  5. no but a pawn can.

in case you were wondering it is possible to have more than one queen on your side.  My personal record is 3, set on 4 different occasions.

  6. Hello,

Only a pawn may be promoted/enrobed to a queen.  You may like to visit my web page - link below?

  7. Only a pawn can "resurrect" a captured Queen by transforming into one.

Pawns can, at the player's option, be promoted to any piece except king upon reaching the eighth row, but most players choose to turn them into queens for maximum power and mobility.  Some pros, however, could turn their pawn into a knight if it would put the enemy king in check.

  8. I suspect that only a pawn can bring any lost piece back to the board.
