In chess has anyone actually used En passant to capture an opponents pawn.

  1. Yes.  Usually then explain the en passant rule and let them consider another move.:)


  2. Sure. I can't say exactly how many times but I've done at least a couple of times in tournament games and lots of times in causal speed chess games.


  3. yup have, and watched a few games with beginners. It was great seeing their face of disbelief as the move was explained to them.  

  4. im in a high school team so playing competitively over-the-board it is seen once in a while...

    personally i'v had dealings with it on more than one encounter. a necessary chess rule in my opinion
