  1. You could buy a cheap pair of lefties.  You could ask the school to do this.  Your daughter may learn to use right handed but if it's an issue just fix it :)  Good luck

  2. Just let her take a pair in her backpack that she can use.

  3. I think that it would be ok if you voiced your concern with your daughters teacher, and I don't know how old your daughter is, but she can also tell her teacher that she is having difficulty cutting with the class scissors.  However, I have seen many left handed students who have learned to cut with both kind scissors.  It is also a good thing to allow your daughter to learn to use both right and left handed materials, spiral and black and white notebooks because it is mainly a right handed world.  You may want to have your daughter practice cutting on both.

  4. im left handed and righty scissors work fine for me

or give her her own pair, and let her bring them to school

  5. Why can't your daughter explain it to the teacher? Buy her a pair of left handed scissors and have her keep them in her backpack. Next time its time to use scissors, she can just pull them out. I doubt the teacher will have a problem with that

  6. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to ask the teacher about it.

  7. Most schools have each classroom supplied with at least 5 left handed scissors for the students that need them...if your daughter's class doesn't have some, maybe you could buy a few for the teacher to put with the classroom supplies and just tell her that your daughter would perform better with the left-handed scissors and that is what you would like her to use, and since there may be others in the class with the same dilemma you bought a couple extras for her to have in the room.  That way you are doing something nice for the teacher, helping out other students that may have the same issue and getting what you want for your daughter all in one shot.  Of course, it isn't necessary, so if you didn't feel like spending a few extra dollars - buy a pair for just your daughter to have in her backpack (although you may want to be prepared to buy a couple pair throughout the school year if she is anything like my daughter in the way she loses things).

  8. i would suggest sending her to school with her own scissors and write her name on them. tell the teacher they are for her only
