  1. It's often a big black X on one hand or both with a sharpy.

This is for three main reasons.

    1) It's clear your ID was checked

    2) They wont sell to you at the bar

    3) If you are drinking something someone else bought for you - it's fairly obvious and they can stop you from doing this.

  2. At concerts and stuff they'll sometimes just put an X on your hand if you are under 21

  3. Here in FL they don't write anything on your hand...The few clubs that let under 21's in they put wristband on the over 21's and if you're under you don't get one and can't order a drink.

  4. It depends on the club, some mark a black X on your hand if you're under 21 while others give out different colored wrist bands and also some places don't put anything on your hand and you just have to show your ID when you go buy a drink.

  5. In NOLA, we used to get a cartoon character stamp and stamp the kids with ink that shone under a black light that wouldn't wash off.. we'd change cartoon characters every two weeks, to keep the kids honest

  6. no.  depends on where you'll go.

  7. Over here they write a U if you are under 21 and an X if you're over 18 (which means you are alowed to smoke).
