In college do you take Statistics before College Algebra or is it vice versa?

At my high school it was Statistics first semester, then College Algebra second semester.

  1. I would take Algebra first.  The math skills you learn in algebra class will help you with statistics.

  3. At my high school, it's up to the student which classes he or she wants to take and when. For example, if a Freshman wanted to, he or she could take both classes during the same semester.

    It just depends on the school you're going to and their prerequisites for that class.

  4. It actually depends really on you and your math skills. For example, if you like word problems and graphs alot then take Statistics, but if you prefer to do math problems then take College Algebra. Both are pretty easy, but you could do them either way, they have a little bit of stuff that over laps so technically you could take both of them at the same time.
