In college dorm rooms, can you have cable?

Not going to college yet, but I'm wondering if you bring a TV, by 09 no more antennas, so can u get cable or a dish??

most US colleges stream cable through large connection boxes in the individual dorms, so all you need to do is plug ur tv into the wall, because the "cable" hookups in the dorm all just run to their boxes, not to any actual cable lines.

My college had cable provided for free in the dorms. Most colleges I know are like that, unless it's something like BYU.

Lucky..... We don't get cable or anything equivalent in Halls of residences in the UK

The bar and pubs came second home to watch anything reasonable on TV haha

I'm pretty sure it's cable and yeah, they definitely will have it because I can't imagine life without TV at college

cable is usually included in your dorm room.  So bring a tv!  thats what i did.  have fun college is a blast.

Some colleges have cable, but I don't know what college your goin to so I can't help you out.  A dish like in the back yard is no exception.  A kitchen dish will never work so don't even try.
